ILLUSTRATED TALKS Have evolved through just talking to people. I have found there is some interest in the “what, why and how” of paper. Discussions at markets, workshops and in the Gallery, have all led me to the point of offering organised talks: the most recent was a gardening club near to my home.
Paper is not as “ordinary” as some believe … almost every “interest group” will have a connection with paper – it is used in so many different ways in our lives, from letters in the door to the “T” bag in your tea, then helping you out through all of the thrills and spills of your day.
Have you ever thought about how paper just appears in our lives … the multitude of plants, processing, science, geography, industry, transportation, rescources, health issues, travel, innovations, recycling and mimicry that paper has connections to?
“When paper first started to be mass produced, mainly due to the innovation of printing presses, it must have been as exciting to people as the internet is to us today” … Clare Colby
